I believe this product has the right idea. You don't have to touch or, really, smell anything. Unfortunately it's just not big enough or easy to handle. I have a 50 pound dog, just verging on the "large" category. I ordered large bags and a large scooper. The scooper would not open up far enough to work effectively, and the bags were too small to allow the scooper to open widely enough. It looks easy to handle but in reality was unwieldy. I did not have enough hands to keep the scooper open at its largest, while aiming it and trying to get the bag on just right so it would get some of the poop. I hope they make a better/bigger one. (Both scooper and bags). I would buy it. Eight months later I have to say that this product got much better (as I learned to use it!). I've doubled my rating to 4 stars. Also, thanks for the close up photos on the add. That's how I figured out how to put it back together after dropping it. :)
No joke the best pooper scooper you will get !!!! The whole unit is self contained . I clip it right on my pocket when we walk . The bags it come with completely surround the unit and clip on so it’s IMPOSSIBLE to get it dirty if used right . I saw a few comments I guess some people couldn’t figure out the super simple design lol . I got the bigger one cause our dog makes a sizable poop . Even 4 or 5 big pieces will fit in here easily . My fiancé will back me up on this cause every time I come in with the dog she has to hear a 10 minute speech about how I love the new scooper ! Could not recommend this product more ! And this is from somebody who would never touch a poo with a bag . It’s gross and for 15$ why not treat yourself haha .
I love this product! I’ve kept it clipped to my puppy’s leash since I got it. I don’t have a very strong stomach when it comes to picking up after my animals🤢 but so far this has been great and super easy to use!
I get the bag out first and put that like a liner inside of the grabber, then use it to pick up the poo, that way the grabber stays clean! It’s easy to tie the bag, since they’re nice and long. The little rubber hole really works to push the excess plastic bag in so you don’t even have to carry the tied bag in your hand :)
My puppy is currently 14 weeks and about 16lbs, so she doesn’t have really big messes yet, I’ll probably have to get a larger version when she gets older.
